Senior Structural Analysis Engineer

Locations: Berkeley, MO | Hazelwood, MO | Mascoutah, IL

Duration: 12+Months

Role Summary

An exciting opportunity for seasoned Structural Analysis Engineers to contribute to advanced aerospace and defense programs. This role involves leading structural design validation efforts, supporting testing and certification, and driving improvements across a range of aircraft, unmanned systems, and precision weapons platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and document structural requirements to guide system design
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to define environmental loads
  • Perform structural integrity assessments using hand calculations, FEM, and simulation tools
  • Create and execute test plans; analyze results to validate system performance
  • Document certification evidence for regulatory and customer compliance
  • Investigate in-service failures and recommend design or process improvements
  • Enhance analysis workflows and tools to improve quality and efficiency
  • Operate with minimal supervision in a high-autonomy environment

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or related field (ABET accreditation preferred)
  • 10+ years of structural analysis experience
  • 8+ years working on aerospace structures, subsystems, or weapons systems
  • Proficiency in:
    • CAD tools: PRO-E, SOLIDWORKS, AUTOCAD, NX/Teamcenter, CATIA/ENOVIA
    • FEM software: PATRAN/NASTRAN, Stresscheck, Hyperworks, Abaqus
    • Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with proprietary analysis tools such as CAESAR, Lifeworks, Mechanica, Common Structures Workstation

Work Environment
  • 100% onsite role
  • Non-managerial, non-leadership position
  • High autonomy and technical ownership expected
