Description:
Our client is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join their renewable energy team. This position is based in their Raleigh, NC office, with potential collaboration across other regional offices. You'll be part of a dynamic and experienced team committed to delivering high-quality engineering solutions for utility-scale wind, solar, transmission line, and substation projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design structural foundations and ancillary structures for renewable energy projects
- Prepare and review structural design reports, specifications, and construction plans
- Respond to RFIs and support field activities during construction phases
- Provide technical expertise across multiple projects
- Collaborate with internal and external project managers to ensure successful project delivery
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- EIT/FE certification required; PE license preferred; S.E. registration is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of structural engineering experience
- Familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318
- Experience with shallow and deep foundations, anchorage systems, and steel member design
- Proficiency in MS Office and structural engineering software such as Mathcad, STAAD, RISA, Enercalc, LPile
- Knowledge of bridge design, geotechnical engineering, and renewable energy infrastructure is a plus
- AutoCAD experience is beneficial
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively
- Minimal travel may be required
