Job Title: Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Technical Expert

Background: Ex Google / Microsoft / Palantir (or equivalent tier-1 tech experience)
Location: Richardson, TX

About the Opportunity

Join a cutting-edge AI organization at the forefront of frontier research and enterprise-scale intelligence systems. This team is redefining how advanced AI models for reasoning, coding, multimodality, and STEM are built, deployed, and scaled into real-world, revenue-driving solutions.

Backed by recent $100M+ funding, the company operates at Silicon Valley speed and ambition partnering with global enterprises to turn AI proofs-of-concept into production-grade, mission-critical systems. You will work alongside world-class engineers, researchers, and AI practitioners tackling some of the most complex challenges in modern AI infrastructure.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert / Technical Expert with 12+ years of experience building and scaling data-intensive and AI-driven platforms. This role is ideal for a senior technologist who combines deep hands-on expertise with architectural vision and thought leadership, particularly in agentic AI systems and enterprise AI platforms.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping next-generation AI architectures, mentoring teams, and driving the adoption of autonomous, reasoning-capable AI systems across high-impact use cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and lead the design of scalable, secure, and high-performance data and AI platforms across distributed environments
  • Design, build, and deploy agentic AI systems capable of autonomous reasoning, decision-making, and adaptive task execution
  • Define and influence AI and data architecture strategy, aligning technical solutions with business and product objectives
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, ML engineers, platform teams, and product stakeholders to deliver end-to-end intelligent systems
  • Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge AI and cloud technologies (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, Vertex AI, LangChain-based frameworks)
  • Establish best practices for model governance, data quality, scalability, reliability, and ethical AI deployment
  • Mentor senior engineers and technical teams in emerging AI technologies and system design patterns

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, AI/ML systems, or platform architecture
  • Proven experience at Palantir, Google, Microsoft, or equivalent high-scale technology organizations
  • Strong programming expertise in Python, Java, or Scala
  • Deep experience with data engineering, distributed systems, and cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure)
  • Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG architectures, and agentic/autonomous AI systems
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale AI-driven decision systems or intelligent agents in production environments
  • Excellent system design, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field
  • Experience leading or influencing enterprise AI platforms or AI strategy initiatives
  • Hands-on exposure to LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGPT, or similar agent orchestration frameworks
  • Experience in mission-critical domains such as defense, finance, healthcare, or large-scale enterprise systems

Why This Role

  • Work on frontier AI challenges with real-world impact not research in isolation
  • Influence how agentic AI and autonomous systems are designed and deployed at scale
  • Collaborate with Silicon Valley-caliber talent across engineering, research, and product
  • Opportunity to shape the future of enterprise AI infrastructure in a fast-growing, well-funded environment
  • Competitive compensation aligned with senior-level expertise and market demand
