Job Summary:
Dexian is seeking a Support Infrastructure Engineer III for an opportunity with a client located in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and deployment of DDI solutions, specifically configuring and managing Infoblox appliances for enterprise network infrastructure
- Act as a top-level escalation point for complex and cross-system DDI issues. Perform in-depth root cause analysis to resolve problems and prevent recurrence
- Proactively monitor and assess network performance and capacity. Plan for future growth by documenting inventory and designing upgrades
- Develop and implement automation scripts and solutions using tools like Python or Ansible to streamline DDI processes related to installation, configuration, and management
- Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to integrate Infoblox with other systems and network infrastructure components like F5 load balancers
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures. Ensure DDI infrastructure adheres to all security and compliance standards
- Oversee and mentor less experienced engineers on DDI best practices and technology
- Lead and participate in special projects related to network infrastructure changes, data center migrations, and upgrades
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and the Infoblox NIOS platform is essential. This includes experience with Infoblox Grid Manager, IP address space management, and configuring zones and DHCP scopes
- Relevant Infoblox certifications are often required or preferred
- A strong understanding of networking protocols at all layers, including TCP/IP, BGP, and VLANs, is critical
- Proficiency with scripting languages like Python is needed for developing automation solutions
- Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving complex, cross-functional technical issues
- Typically requires several years of hands-on experience in a DDI-focused network engineering or infrastructure role
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are required to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders
- 12+ Month Contract
- 40 Hours Per Week M-F
- Open to remote in U.S. but prefer local to Greater Chicago area
