Job Description:
  • We are seeking a Hardware Integration Engineer with a strong background in hardware and Linux system administration to support next-generation system deployments. In this role, you will integrate, optimize, and test advanced hardware-including Dell servers, NVIDIA GPUs, network interface cards, network switches, and optical recorders-into complex system architectures. Responsibilities include testing hardware configurations and BIOS settings on Dell servers, optimizing optical switching for test servers, configuring and maintaining network switches, and managing 20-30 racks of equipment. You will also rack and cable new hardware, support lab management duties, and provide recommendations for next-generation hardware procurement. This position requires experience loading and configuring software on hardware, controllers, and processors, as well as integrating these components into the overall system architecture. A strong Linux system administration background is essential, as you will be tasked with enhancing and automating development and testing environments to support the growing needs of the organization.

The Level 1 Systems Engineer shall possess the following capabilities:
  • Testing various hardware configurations and bios setting on next Generation Dell servers.
  • Optimize optical switching to test servers.
  • Configure and maintain network switch to support lab efforts.
  • Maintain 20-30 racks of equipment.
  • Rack and cable new hardware as needed.
  • Support lab management duties.
  • Provide hardware recommendations for next generation hardware procurement.
  • Hardware Includes but is not limited to: Dell servers, NVidia GPUs, network interface cards, network switches, and optical recorders.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
