Job Description: Functional Business Analyst – Tableau / Data Visualization
Role: Functional Business Analyst
Role Overview
We are seeking a Functional Business Analyst with a strong background in Tableau and data visualization to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate excels at translating business requirements into insightful dashboards and reports that support data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand KPIs, metrics, and reporting needs
- Design and review Tableau dashboards and visual analytics
- Translate business questions into data models, reports, and visual stories
- Collaborate with data engineers and developers to ensure accurate data delivery
- Validate dashboards for data accuracy, usability, and performance
- Prepare functional specs, BRDs, FRDs, and user stories
- Support UAT and stakeholder sign-offs
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Functional / Business Analyst
- Strong hands-on experience with Tableau (dashboards, calculated fields, filters)
- Solid understanding of data visualization best practices
- Experience working with SQL-based data sources and data warehouses
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
