job summary:

Work with technology partners to define the scope of problems/issues, in terms of business and/or system requirements and processes


Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements


Develop diagrams, story maps, user stories, and clearly convey technical information


Evaluate design of existing systems to understand their functionality, efficiency, reliability, performance, usage, and maintainability. Document and share this information with the organization


Collaborate with Agile team members to come up with comprehensive, cohesive solutions

responsibilities:

Must Haves


1.) Java API knowledge


2.) SQL and DB2 Stored Procedures


3.) Writing comprehensive documentation of Stored Procedures


4.) Potentially someone who came from a programming or database background before becoming an SA




qualifications:

10+ years of total engineering experience with a minimum of 5 years in the role of a Systems Analyst


Analysis experience with complex enterprise-level, end-to-end processes in a Java and stored procedure based environment.


Experience with REST, SOAP API technologies and related tools such as Postman and Insomnia


Proficiency with JSON, Java, SQL and log analysis (Splunk, Datadog)


Experience with code analysis, repositories, and deployment strategies


Strong written and verbal communication skills: communicates clearly, concisely, and impactfully to influence others tailoring the information to the audience


Experience with solution design of new systems and the enhancement and modernization of legacy systems


Expertise in story writing, testing, creation of diagrams and product documentation


Ability to take complex features and break them into bodies of work, then break them down further into stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria


A highly curious and motivated learner with strong problem-solving skills


Takes initiative, finds solutions and follows through with minimal direction


Ability to navigate through ambiguous circumstances and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability


Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems


Prior experience as a Developer, QA or Support Engineer is a plus


Experience within the financial services industry is a plus


Cloud experience, particularly AWS, is a plus
