Systems Engineer 1

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Milwaukee, WI that is seeking a Systems Engineer responsible for the design and implementation of mid-size IT solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise across networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies, with an emphasis on troubleshooting, solution design, and project execution. The Systems Engineer works closely with clients and internal teams to ensure successful delivery of IT initiatives.

Responsibilities:
* Design and implement mid-size IT solutions, including migrations and upgrades
* Perform advanced troubleshooting across systems, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms
* Collaborate with project teams and clients to deliver solutions on time and within scope
* Participate in frequent project meetings and provide implementation support
* Mentor and guide junior administrators (Admin 1/2)

REQUIREMENTS:
* VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
* Microsoft Azure Administrator
* Strong foundation in networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies
* Hands-on experience with IT solution design and implementation
* Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose solutions
* Proficiency in Windows server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy
* Proficiency in networking including subnets, routing, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, and wireless topologies
* Proficiency in security appliances including firewall rules and policy, content filtering, and log review
* Proficiency in cloud-based email solutions including message tracing and spam filtering
* Proficiency in hypervisor solutions such as VMware and Hyper-V
* Experience in design and support of fault-tolerant environments
* Experience in change management such as firmware, OS, and third-party application patching
* Experience in managing remote workplace solutions including IPSEC and SSL VPNs

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
