Description

SAIC has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Systems Engineer/SETA ! In this role you will support the customer's engineering efforts, working across multiple projects to ensure mission success. The candidate will coordinate with other contractor project leads, and with customer leadership in both the engineering and operations organizations, to ensure sound engineering processes and procedures are applied to enable project success. The candidate will maintain situational awareness for all project activities, providing sound technical engineering subject matter expertise in a wide range of situations. The candidate will help to ensure that user requirements are sound, then draft system requirements to enable development contractors to deliver solutions that meet system and user needs. During development, you will help the customer oversee progress, ensuring that the technical information needed for milestone review boards is completed. The candidate will support customer engineering management with briefings and technical documents as required. The position requires an in-depth understanding, and practical application, of systems engineering processes, procedures and control gates for the full system lifecycle of the project.

Qualifications
  • Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly clearance
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a telecommunications or computer science related field
  • Experience authoring User Requirements Documents (URD), System Requirements Documents (SRD), Requirements Verification Traceability Matrices (RVTM), test plans, procedures and reports, and project management plans
  • A solid understanding of mobile telecommunication systems
  • Familiarity with network engineering fundamentals (e.g. routing and switching, firewalls and network monitoring)
  • An understanding of configuration management and the lifecycle management process
