TECHNICAL PROJECT LEAD (Machine Learning - hands on), 100-125k, Ohio (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Execution

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of technical projects from planning to deployment, using Agile methodologies to guide teams in planning sprints and tracking progress.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Proactively identify potential project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors, ensuring clear and consistent communication across all levels.

SOC 2 Infrastructure Support

• Lead projects related to maintaining and enhancing the security, availability, and confidentiality of our MSP infrastructure, adhering to SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria.
• Coordinate with engineering and security teams to implement and document internal controls and best practices.
• Prepare for and act as a liaison during third-party audits, managing evidence collection and helping remediate any findings.

AI Integration

• Manage the integration of AI/ML technologies and third-party AI vendor products into our services and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with data engineers and AI/ML scientists to translate business goals into technical project plans and deliverables.
• Ensure the security, performance, and scalability of AI systems and their underlying cloud infrastructure.

Performance Optimization

• Oversee projects aimed at improving system performance, optimizing data pipelines, and implementing performance tuning strategies.
• Lead technical teams in troubleshooting and resolving performance bottlenecks in both production and pre-production environments.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
• At least 4 years of technical project management experience, AWS deployment, including 1+ year with AI/ML or data projects.
• Experience in an MSP or IT infrastructure environment.
• Knowledge of SOC 2 compliance and security best practices.
• Familiarity with AI/ML, cloud platforms, and data architecture.
• AWS Certification strongly preferred
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly.
