Job Title: Tableau Administrator
Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)
Duration: Long-Term Contract
We are seeking a skilled Tableau Administrator to manage and support the Tableau environment for enterprise analytics and reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Tableau Server/Cloud administration, user management, performance tuning, security configurations, and deployment automation. Experience working in large enterprise environments (e.g., telecom, tech services) is a plus.
Responsibilities:-
Administer, upgrade, and maintain Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud infrastructure (including clustered environments).

Manage user and group security, permissions, licensing, and access across business units.

Monitor server health, performance, and usage; optimize performance through tuning and load balancing.

Collaborate with BI developers and data engineers to promote dashboards and data sources across environments (Dev/QA/Prod).

Automate tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

Manage and troubleshoot Tableau extracts, schedules, and data refreshes.

Configure SAML, LDAP, or Active Directory for secure authentication and single sign-on (SSO).

Establish and enforce governance standards, backup/recovery procedures, and change management protocols.

Create technical documentation and provide training/support to Tableau users.

Support integration with other BI tools, databases (SQL Server, Snowflake, Oracle), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

5+ years of experience as a Tableau Server Administrator in enterprise environments.

Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Server (2021.x or later), Tableau Cloud is a plus.

Solid understanding of Tableau architecture, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR) setups.

Proficient in Windows/Linux server environments.

Experience with scripting for automation (Python, PowerShell, Shell).

Familiarity with enterprise security standards, including OAuth, SAML, and SSL configurations.

Strong understanding of relational databases, data extracts, and query performance optimization.

Experience working with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) and Agile/Scrum practices.

Tableau Certified Associate or Server Certified Professional.

Experience in telecom or technology services domain (e.g., Verizon, HCL).

Experience integrating Tableau with Snowflake, BigQuery, or other cloud data platforms.

Knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes.
-
Familiarity with ITIL processes and change/release management.
