Pay Rate: $23/hour
Work Schedule: High-OT role minimum 50 hours per week, with additional overtime based on business needs
Role Overview
Tax Operations plays a critical role in ensuring accurate tax withholding and regulatory reporting for the firm and its clients. The Tax Information Reporting Analyst will join a fast-paced, high-volume environment supporting Global Banking & Markets, with a strong focus on U.S. tax information reporting (Form 1099 series).
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods.
Your Impact
As part of Tax Operations, you will:
- Support scalable processes that ensure compliance with U.S. tax reporting regulations
- Partner with teams across the firm to resolve complex tax and data issues
- Gain deep exposure to Form 1099 reporting, withholding, and tax operations within a global financial institution
Key Responsibilities
- Review and respond to client inquiries using fact-based analysis aligned with regulatory requirements
- Provide tax-related operational support to Investment Professionals, Client Service representatives, and clients
- Review and resolve position breaks and cost basis exceptions resulting from upstream data inconsistencies
- Perform complex corporate actions analysis
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of regulatory tax filings
- Monitor and maintain accurate account documentation and client tax data
- Identify potential risks and escalate issues appropriately
- Collaborate across multiple teams to meet time-sensitive deliverables
Basic Qualifications
- Relevant experience in Operations, Taxation, Accounting, Auditing, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex workflows
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to manage time-sensitive work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Proactive, self-starting individual with a high level of ownership
- Ability to recognize risk and escalate appropriately
- Flexibility and ability to learn quickly
- Strong data analysis skills
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Understanding of W-9 and W-8 tax forms and/or onboarding and KYC processes
- Experience with SQL and/or Alteryx
