Tax Manager (hybrid)

Tax Manager (Hybrid)

Location: Bethlehem, PA

Compensation: 120-160K base + bonuses + 401K match

Position Overview
The Tax Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of tax compliance and planning for our clients. This role combines technical expertise in tax regulations with strong leadership skills to ensure accurate and timely tax filings while providing valuable insights to clients regarding their tax strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the preparation and review of tax returns for individuals (1040), corporations (1120), S corporations (1120S), and estates (1041)
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and guidelines
  • Conduct research on tax issues and provide recommendations based on findings
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities for clients
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing training and support as needed
  • Communicate effectively with clients to address their tax-related questions and concerns
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive financial planning and compliance
  • Stay updated with the latest tax laws and regulations to ensure the firms practices are in alignment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) certification required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax compliance and planning
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and compliance
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
