We are a full-service accounting and business advisory firm that has been serving the business community since 1974. We are looking for a skilled Tax Manager to join our team. What You'll Do
This role is centered on the principle of LMA (Lead, Manage, and Hold Accountable).
- Own the Client Relationship: You will be the primary contact for client engagements, building long-term relationships and structuring teams to consistently meet and exceed client expectations.
- Provide Technical Oversight: You will use your expertise in tax systems, research, planning, and compliance to supervise and review the work of others, ensuring the highest standards of quality.
- Drive Business Development: You will identify growth opportunities with existing clients, cultivate new client contacts, and engage in networking to help our firm grow.
- Develop Our Team: You will create a learning environment, guiding and coaching team members to help them develop their skills and build a clear career path.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent; a Master's degree in Taxation is a plus.
- CPA certification or Enrolled Agent credential is required.
- 6+ years of tax experience in public accounting.
- Experience in corporate, flow-through entity, and individual federal and state taxation.
- Strong research skills, including the ability to interpret and apply tax laws and regulations to client situations.
- Proven ability to provide clear, written tax advice.
- Experience in strategic planning for clients.
- Supervisory and training experience, with the capacity to excel in a team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and tax software like Axcess Tax, as well as research databases such as CCH or Checkpoint.
