Job Details

CV Resources is working with a dynamic, capital-intensive organization in NE Portland that is undergoing a major transformation toward sustainability and innovation. We are seeking an experiencedTax Supervisorwith a strong foundation in fixed asset tax accounting to join a large and well-respected tax department. This is a highly analytical and strategic role focused on income tax treatment of tangible and intangible property, particularly related to tax depreciation and deferred income taxes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a tax professional who thrives in a data-rich environment and enjoys complex technical work that impacts major regulatory and financial reporting outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and utilize specialized software systems (training provided) for tracking tax depreciation and deferred income taxes
  • Collaborate with internal tax teams on provision work, tax return filings, regulatory reporting, and forecasting related to fixed assets
  • Review and oversee technical work performed by other tax team members
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff, including coaching and performance evaluation
  • Lead projects and process improvements across the tax function
  • Analyze key metrics and develop reporting tools for financial and regulatory analysis
  • Respond to inquiries from regulatory bodies and taxing authorities

Preferred Background

  • Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Minimum 8 years of corporate tax experience, or 5+ years with an active CPA license
  • Strong understanding of fixed asset and deferred tax accounting concepts
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with large datasets; experience with accounting systems is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven project management experience and ability to drive efficiency
  • Prior experience in a regulated industry or large corporate tax department is preferred
  • Big Four public accounting experience is highly desirable
