1) SR. PROJECT MANAGER WITH A FOCUS ON DATA PROJECTS (DATA MODELING, MAPPING, CATALOGING, DW, REPORTING). RELEVANT CERT REQUIRED. UP TO A 12 MONTH CONTRACT ASSIGNMENT W/ POSSIBLE EXTENSIONS OR CONVERSION TO FTE (PENDING PERFORMANCE/MUTUAL FIT). COMPENSATION DEPENDS ON EXPERIENCE BUT IS TYPICALLY $50 - 75/HR W2.

The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for managing, planning and tracking tactical and strategic projects. The Technical Project Manager will focus on cost effectiveness, communication, risk analysis, quality assurance and implementation of highly visible, sensitive and multi-faceted projects. 

 

Responsibilities

  • The mid-level PM will manage complex (Agile) initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business (spanning projects related to f)ull project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.
  • However, the Sr. PM will manage complex (Agile) initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business (spanning projects related to technology data projects (cataloging, modeling, mapping, etc), reporting 
  • Provide on-site leadership for project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.
  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication.
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.
  • Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and support the Strategic Planning team meetings.
  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership.
  • Manage project scope and changes.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in the areas of IT, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • PMP, Six Sigma Project Management Certification, or relevant cert required for Sr. PM; nice to have for mid-level PM
  • Financial services industry experience a plus 
  • Asset management (investments) or investment banking a big plus. 
  • For mid-level PM: 
    • 5+ years Project Management-relevant work experience with strong Agile project delivery using MS Project, Jira, & Confluence. (Projects focused on full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.
    • 3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).
    • Experience managing operating budgets and/or project financials.
    • Ability to create, forecast and manage project plans and delivery
    • Experience with change management (prep / planning)
    • Personable and ability to communicate effectively with tech and stakeholders
    • Strong written skills to provide high-level updates
  • For Sr. PM:
    • 7+ years Project Management-relevant work experience with strong Agile project delivery using MS Project, Jira, & Confluence. (Projects focused on data & architecture) 
      • Experience working directly and/or in proximity to technology data projects (cataloging, modeling, mapping, etc), reporting
      • Knowledge of AWS product suite and BI tools a plus.
    • 5+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).
    • Experience managing operating budgets and/or project financials.
    • Ability to create, forecast and manage project plans and delivery
    • Experience with change management (prep / planning)
    • Personable and ability to communicate effectively with tech and stakeholders
    • Strong written skills to provide high-level updates
  • Well versed in Jira & Confluence required for both roles 
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, (PowerBI a plus) and SharePoint with experience presenting to stakeholders and / or Senior Leadership.
  • Knowledge of AWS product suite and BI tools a plus.
