Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Technical Environment Manager to oversee and coordinate technical environments across a broad portfolio of internal and SaaS applications. This role is critical to ensuring that appropriate, stable, and secure environments are available to support program testing and development activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience working in complex, multi-application landscapes.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage technical environments (development, testing, staging, production) across multiple internal and SaaS applications.
Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure, and vendors to provision, maintain, and optimize environments to meet program testing requirements.
Ensure environments are configured correctly, stable, and available according to project timelines and testing schedules.
Develop and enforce environment management policies, standards, and best practices.
Monitor environment usage and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving conflicts or resource constraints.
Facilitate communication and coordination between cross-functional teams to align environment availability with release and testing plans.
Manage environment-related risks and issues, escalating as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
Maintain documentation related to environment configurations, access controls, and change management.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance environment provisioning processes and reduce downtime.
Qualifications:
Proven experience managing technical environments in complex IT landscapes, including both internal and SaaS applications.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing processes.
Experience with environment provisioning tools, configuration management, and cloud platforms is a plus.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred:
Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
