Duration: 6 Months contract with possibility of extensions
Notes:
Candidates must be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI within 30 days of the start date. (90% remote and 10% onsite). Primarily remote, but candidate must be available to come onsite if needed.

Job Summary
IRG Clients seeking an experienced Technical Lead to provide strategic and hands-on leadership across enterprise infrastructure and virtualization platforms. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to evaluate emerging and existing technologies to improve system performance, stability, scalability, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical authority, guiding system implementations while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and secure solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for performance optimization, increased stability, and cost savings.
- Design, document, and recommend technical solutions that align with organizational and agency standards.
- Lead system implementation projects as the technical subject matter expert, providing direction, oversight, and mentorship to project teams.
- Ensure successful deployment, configuration, and ongoing support of enterprise infrastructure solutions.
- Provide expert-level administration, troubleshooting, and optimization of Microsoft Windows Server environments.
- Manage and support virtual desktop and virtualization platforms, including Omnissa Horizon and VMware vSphere.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable and secure technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices.
- Ensure system reliability, security, and compliance through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience analyzing, evaluating, and recommending technology solutions within enterprise environments.
- 7+ years of experience leading technical project teams and system implementation efforts.
- 10+ years of expert-level experience administering Microsoft Windows Server environments.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Omnissa Horizon and VMware vSphere.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to balance technical excellence with business and cost considerations.

- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
