About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Developer with strong expertise in the MERN stack (React, NestJS, MongoDB, Node.js/Express) to join our supply chain management team. The Lead Developer will be responsible for driving the technical vision, architecture, and delivery of scalable web applications in the automotive sector.
This is a senior leadership role requiring hands-on technical excellence, system design expertise, and proven team management skills. The ideal candidate will also have strong exposure to event-driven architecture and experience working in automotive or supply chain domains.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers to deliver robust automotive-focused web applications.
  • Define and oversee technical strategy, architecture, and best practices for scalable web solutions.
  • Architect and develop solutions using MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, NestJS/Node.js).
  • Implement event-driven architecture with Mongo Change Streams, Kafka, Schema Registry, and connectors.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Ensure performance, reliability, and security of applications.
  • Act as a technical liaison with automotive clients and stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Continuously research and adopt emerging technologies to optimize performance, scalability, and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • 12 15+ years of overall development experience, with at least 8+ years in MERN stack.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with React, NestJS, MongoDB, Express.js, Node.js.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and managing large-scale projects.
  • Solid understanding of system design, scalable architecture, and coding best practices.
  • Experience with Kafka and building event-driven/serverless solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Domain experience in automotive or supply chain management (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of automotive-specific frameworks or protocols.
  • Advanced degree or certifications in Computer Science/Engineering.
