Our client, a leading financial company, is hiring a Technical Operations Engineer on a contract basis

Summary:

TECHNICAL OPERATIONS ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for application issues, working closely with software engineers and program managers
  • Investigate and resolve incidents related to application performance, integration, and data discrepancies while analyzing logs, monitor system health, and identify potential issues before they impact users
  • Collaborate with developers to understand application usage, review technical designs, and recommend improvements and support incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-mortem reviews for critical application failures
  • Work with infrastructure teams to optimize system configurations, deployments, and performance tuning
  • Ensure adherence to security policies, compliance requirements, and best practices in application support
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm's respectful and courteous work environment.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum five years of recent experience in application support, troubleshooting, or technical operations for large-scale enterprise applications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, JavaScript frameworks, SQL Server, and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python
  • Hands-on experience with log analysis, debugging tools, and monitoring solutions such as AppInsights, Splunk, Grafana, and Kibana; Selenium, JMeter, or other testing tools for diagnosing performance issues
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment/Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and deployment tools like Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Octopus, or GitHub Actions
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred), including application hosting and troubleshooting cloud-based services, as well as knowledge of networking concepts, authentication mechanisms (OAuth, SAML), and API integrations

Pay Range: $59-60
