Job Description:
Typical Day in the Role
Purpose of the Team: Interface with clients on technical and business issues from project initiation through delivery. Drive program/project schedules and status reports. Create and/or review multiple functional specifications that will be used as tools in making decisions as to how the product or service will be implemented. Provide Product Managers & Product Unit Managers with technical and/or analytical information. Organize cross functional activities ensuring the program/project is completed on schedule and within budget constraints. Provide program/project schedules and status reports.
Key projects:
? Develops, tracks and manages project budget, project plans, timelines and scope
? Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising
? Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements
? Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs
? Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing
? Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures
? Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses
? Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized
?Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors
Candidate Requirements
Years of Experience Required: 8-10 overall years of experience in the field.
Degrees or certifications required: Bachelors degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred
Best vs. Average:
? Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
? Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
? Detail oriented
? Experienced with exec level engagement and comfortable with an ambiguous and fast paced environment
? PM experience
?Prior Microsoft history is preferred but not required.
Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on ability to work fast paced environment and quality of work.
Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
1. Minimum 6 years experience with technical program management.
2. Minimum 8+ years experience with managing Azure DevOps and work items
3. Minimum 8 years experience with PMP or some sort of project management certification
