Job Description: Core Procurement & Buying Skills
- Strategic Sourcing: Ability to identify and evaluate suppliers for a wide range of categories (e.g., hotel, F&B, technical, technology, protective materials).
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation capabilities to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
- Contract Management: Understanding of contract terms, service level agreements (SLAs), and vendor compliance. Analytical & Technical Skills
- Cost Analysis & Budgeting: Ability to analyze costs, forecast budgets, and manage spend effectively.
- ERP & Procurement Systems: Familiarity with tools like SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar procurement platforms.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in Excel or data tools to track procurement metrics and supplier performance.
Category-Specific Knowledge
- Hospitality & F&B Procurement: Understanding of sourcing consumables and services for hotels and food & beverage operations.
- Technical & Technology Procurement: Familiarity with sourcing IT hardware/software, technical equipment, and services.
- Protective Materials: Knowledge of safety standards and sourcing of PPE or other protective gear.
Soft Skills & Project Support
- Project Management: Ability to support fleet modernization projects by aligning procurement timelines with project milestones.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Adaptability: Comfortable managing a diverse portfolio of goods and services in a dynamic project environment.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Regulatory Awareness: Understanding of procurement regulations, especially if working in a regulated industry (e.g., maritime, defense, transportation).
- Risk Mitigation: Ability to assess and mitigate supply chain risks
