Role - Senior Project Manager (Technical)
Responsibilities and Tasks
The Technical Project Manager shall provide day-to-day management of O&M efforts of The Systems.
This includes providing assessments of mandates and maintenance efforts, identifying issues and risks, maintaining issue logs, hosting internal, external, and joint meetings, publishing schedules and status reports, and recommending risk mitigation strategies for O&M efforts.
The Technical Project Manager shall develop Work Orders (WOs) for the O&M Vendor based on requirements from the clients Advisory Board and finalize Work Orders to accomplish maintenance efforts. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that work performed by the O&M Vendor is within scope, consistent with requirements, and delivered on time and on budget.
The Technical Project Manager acts as a facilitator.
The Technical Project Manager shall identify critical paths, tasks, dates, testing, and acceptance criteria and ensure that the O&M efforts stay on track and meet all Work Order objectives.
At a minimum, Technical Project Manager shall perform the following recurring activities:
Ongoing and as needed:
1) Monitor the progress of O&M efforts through regular meetings with the O&M Vendor according to the established and approved Team Meeting Plan, including:
Stand-Up Meetings
Sprint Reviews
Program Increment Meetings
2) Maintain System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documentation including project schedules in project management software
3) Maintain User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production issue log and reporting in project management software
4) Draft, review, and submit Work Orders to the O&M Vendor
5) Prepare required Work Order documentation, including functional requirements, and testing and acceptance documentation, to meet State and Federal requirements
6) Collaborate with client and the O&M Vendor to review the DoIT managed VMware environments for development, Quality Assurance Testing, and UAT to include:
Review hardware and infrastructure needs of The Systems to ensure the environment meets technical requirements
Address any performance issues with The Systems or with the hosting environment
Coordinate scheduled upgrades to the environment with DoIT
Plan scheduled downtime
Determine the schedule of testing database refreshes
Evaluate projected growth of the Systems databases
Perform reviews of database performance
Address security measures, including local accounts, services, and database connection
Prepare impact analysis and technical Work Order documents for any client mandated configuration changes.
