Technical Writer/Systems Knowledge Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking an IT Technical Writer with a cybersecurity focus in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Responsibilities:
* Create and maintain internal documentation for digital products, systems architecture, infrastructure dependencies, and API integrations
* Work closely with product, engineering, IT, and security teams to understand how systems communicate, store data, and scale
* Develop clear and up-to-date process flows, deployment guides, service ownership docs, and onboarding materials
* Capture and organize core platform knowledge that currently lives in Slack and Teams, in people's heads, or across disconnected documents
* Own and maintain a knowledge management system or internal wiki that product and technical teams can rely on
* Help reduce technical debt by making undocumented systems visible and understandable, enabling better decision-making
* Assist product managers and engineers in documenting new systems and features at launch

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of experience in technical writing, systems analysis, or product documentation for software platforms
* Familiarity with cloud architecture, APIs, data flows, and security concepts (even if not an engineer)
* Strong attention to detail and an ability to ask the right questions to uncover edge cases and interdependencies
* Proficient in tools like Confluence, Notion, Lucidchart, or similar documentation platforms
* Excellent writing and organizational skills with a love for clarity, accuracy, and reducing chaos

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
