About the Role

Are you excited by the challenge of turning complex healthcare and IT concepts into clear, user-friendly guides that empower professionals across the industry? Do you enjoy understanding the big picture of digital health systems, workflows, and tools and then helping others succeed with them?

Client is seeking a Technical Writer to create accurate, consistent, and engaging documentation that supports healthcare professionals, patients, and technology teams. In this role, you ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and clinical SMEs to develop best-in-class guides that make a direct impact on user success and product usability across our healthcare technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write clear, concise, and technically accurate end-user and technical documentation for healthcare IT systems and digital platforms.
  • Develop and maintain departmental documentation standards, style guides, and best practices.
  • Research, plan, and execute documentation updates using design specs, SME interviews, and hands-on system testing.
  • Prepare and release content (including translation-ready materials) for internal and external audiences.
  • Manage multiple writing assignments under tight deadlines, working independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Collaborate with product, clinical, and engineering teams to ensure consistency, compliance, and usability across healthcare applications.

What Success Looks Like

  • Curiosity and agility to learn new healthcare workflows, processes, and technologies quickly.
  • Strong ability to explain complex concepts simply, connecting systems, users, and workflows.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for precision in communication.
  • Experience with tools like Adobe RoboHelp, MadCap Flare, or similar documentation platforms.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to understand interconnected healthcare IT workflows.
  • Balancing speed and accuracy while meeting healthcare compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems (EHR/EMR, HIS, or practice management systems).
  • Proficiency in image-capture and editing tools (SnagIt, Photoshop, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with localization, translation, or multilingual healthcare documentation.
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, or other ticketing/project tracking tools.
