The basic core job functions include but are not limited to:

- Reviewing and interpreting drawings and other documents to identify provisioning requirements. \n
- Developing and managing Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD), such as Illustrated Parts Breakdowns (IPB), Allowance Parts Lists (APL), and Allowance Equipage List (AEL). \n
- Collaborating with engineers, logisticians, supply personnel, and vendors to ensure accurate and timely provisioning. \n
- Utilizing databases like Deck Plate, Web Flis, Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS), and Model-Based Product Support (MBPS) to manage provisioning data and track changes. \n
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to provisioning. \n
- Tracking and resolving Diminished Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS). \n
- Supporting Navy Fleet Maintenance and Modernization efforts. \n
- Analyze ship equipment/systems configuration and ensure correct hierarchy is assigned. \n
- Actively participate in regularly scheduled internal/external training exercises. \n
Required/Preferred Education/Training

- High School Diploma or GED required. \n
- Graduate BIW Apprentice preferred. \n
Required/Preferred Experience
Technician I - 0-1 years' experience with US Navy Ships required
Technician II - 1-4 years' experience with US Navy Ships required
Technician III - 5-9 years' experience with US Navy Ships required

- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and assignments required. \n
- Required to undergo and favorably pass a US Government security background investigation for DoD Secret Security Clearance if you do not already have one. Current Secret Security Clearance with the US Government preferred.
- \nThis position requires you to be able to obtain a government security clearance. You must be a US Citizen for consideration and you must be able to obtain an interim security clearance within the first 45 days of hire. - Working knowledge of shipboard equipment and systems preferred. \n
- Skilled computer user highly preferred. \n
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite experience highly preferred. \n

- Working knowledge of Navy technical documentation and terms highly preferred. \n
- Knowledge of Navy Supply Chain management principles preferred. \n
- Proficiency in using Logistics databases and software preferred. \n
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret ship equipment/system drawings preferred. \n
- Strong understanding of Change Management principles highly preferred. \n
- Shipbuilding/shipboard or related experience highly preferred. \n
