Collins Aerospace's industry-leading cockpit displays provide the enhanced situational awareness required to drive success in both military and commercial aviation! Avionics Test Engineering is seeking to fill an intern to design innovative hardware and software test solutions for an array of Collins Aerospace Display products.

Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

What You Will Do:
  • Develop test software and hardware for automated tests for Display products.
  • Program C# and utilize NI TestStand on multi-rack test stations.
  • Become familiar with switch systems, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, DMM's, power supplies and other digital related equipment.
  • Develop and support of Environmental Stress Screening (thermal and vibration) test equipment and software suites.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Required to be pursuing a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Prefer candidates that are pursuing Electrical or Computer Engineering degrees
  • The engineering intern who fills this position must have development, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
