The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$114,000.00 - $194,000.00
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.

We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about driving innovation and achieving world-class results. This position, based in San Jose, CA, offers significant potential for development and growth in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tester applications support for SSD engineering and manufacturing.
- Serve as the main contact for tester APIs, assisting engineering teams in the development and qualification of new test programs.
- Collaborate with equipment and test engineering teams to resolve tester-related issues.
- Validate new tester software and hardware to ensure release readiness.
- Develop interface libraries enabling test programs and automation to seamlessly integrate with tester system software.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field of engineering.
- 2-3 years of experience in an engineering role dedicated to HDD/SSD testing or validation, or test equipment development and support.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming.
- Knowledge of PCIe/NVEe protocols and related debugging.
- Strong problem-solving skills and techniques.
- Experience with SSD/HDD testing or validation, including test hardware, programs, processes, and methodologies.
- Familiarity with SSD test equipment, such as Advantest MPT3000.
- Working knowledge of protocol/logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
- Ability to effectively communicate and understand technical information.
- High degree of self-initiative with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
