Tool Maker

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join our manufacturing team. The Tool Maker will be responsible for designing, fabricating, and maintaining tools and dies used in the production process. This role is critical in ensuring our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently, producing high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make tooling that meets design specs and tolerances
  • Use measuring tools and quality checks to ensure accuracy
  • Fit and align tooling to match design and cutting station layout
  • Set up dies in the press and produce a sample that meets customer specs
  • Organize and store tooling efficiently after fabrication
  • Report any needed changes to tooling and document them
  • Keep the work area clean and safe
  • Log all maintenance and repairs in the Die Log Book accurately and on time

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus apprenticeship or 5+ years of experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and geometric tolerances
  • Skilled in using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
  • Basic math skills, including algebra, geometry, and metric/English conversions
  • Ability to follow instructions, complete documentation, and work flexible shifts
