Position: Tooling Technician
Location: Dodge Center, MN
Type: Full Time - Direct Hire
Start Date: ASAP
Openings: 1

Pay Range:

$23-28/hour depending on experience level

Interview Process: Onsite with hiring team
Education: does NOT require GED or HS Diploma, only applicable experience
Shift Differential: Applicable

Shift: 2nd Shift - Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM to 3:30 AM

  • Fridays are generally 8-hour shifts depending on business needs
  • Saturday hours may be required (5:00 PM - 10:00/11:00 PM)
Job Description
Responsible for repair work on jigs and fixtures, building new tools to support change notices and NPD launches using 2D drawings. Must troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues. Supports training of new employees and maintains a clean, safe work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build tools using GD&T prints
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, plumbing, and mechanical problems
  • Repair or replace damaged components on jigs and fixtures
  • Operate CNC lathe, CNC mill, drill, and saw machines
  • Safely operated crane/hoist, forklift, tow motor, and other facility vehicles
  • Transport tools, parts, and equipment throughout the facility
  • Use hand and power tools
  • Communicate via handheld radios
  • Perform preventive maintenance and support SMS audits
  • Collaborate with engineers and adapt to strategy changes
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas
  • Support weekend work and planned shutdowns
  • Assist with heavy lifting and shop cleaning
  • Report repair statuses and missing parts
  • Organize prints and track parts from fabrication and vendors
  • Follow instructions and complete tasks accurately and safely
  • Demonstrate initiative and goal-oriented behavior

Minimum Qualifications (Must Have)

  • Certified Sr. Welder-indicate if they have jig experience.
  • Forklift Certified
  • At least 5 years of welding experience
