Transmission & Distribution Construction Manager Construction Manager - Transmission & Distribution

As an Assistant Construction Manager, you'll be at the heart of complex, high-impact projects across industries like aviation, commercial buildings, energy, manufacturing, oil & gas, power generation, water, and more. From groundbreaking to ribbon-cutting, you'll help drive excellence in safety, quality, scheduling, and execution.

What You'll Do

You'll support senior project leaders in delivering Engineer Procure Construct (EPC) projects and construction management programs. Your responsibilities will span:

  • Project Execution & Oversight
    • Assist in managing safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, and procurement
    • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field operations
    • Support site mobilization, permitting, and turnover documentation
  • Client & Team Collaboration
    • Interface with clients on proposals, project updates, and risk reviews
    • Help develop execution plans, staffing charts, and procurement strategies
    • Maintain strong relationships with field teams and trade partners
  • Contract & Financial Management
    • Contribute to contract negotiations, RFPs, and change orders
    • Support cost reporting, scheduling, and earned value tracking
    • Assist with invoicing, insurance verification, and compliance audits
  • Field Operations & Craft Support
    • Help onboard field staff and maintain craft competency standards
    • Analyze labor rates, monitor crew classifications, and forecast production
    • Manage construction equipment inventory and logistics
  • Documentation & Compliance
    • Maintain project records, meeting minutes, and filing systems
    • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and legal standards
    • Support project closeout, warranty tracking, and retention processes
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of relevant construction experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management software preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, multi-project environments
  • Familiarity with GAAP and construction site operations across multiple industries
