Traveling Superintendent (MEP)
$110,000 - $130,000
Ideally someone in the mid-west to east coast with the ability to move to site locations for durations between 4 months - 5+ years
Vehicle, Living stipend (housing, utilities, some food etc)
Position Overview
The Traveling Superintendent (MEP) is responsible for overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of construction projects across various locations. This role involves coordinating between different teams, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning and execution of MEP systems installation in commercial building projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure design specifications and project goals are met.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards throughout the construction process.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
- Manage and mentor field personnel to ensure effective teamwork and communication.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and reports.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, specifically in MEP projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in commercial buildings.
- Experience with design-build project delivery methods.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams.
- Ability to travel frequently to various job sites as required.
