About the Role As a Turret Assembly Mechanic at Rheinmetall Defence Australia, you will play a key role in the mechanical and electrical assembly of advanced Turret systems across multiple high-profile projects such as L400 Ph2. Working within defined TAKT's alongside other SME's and Team Lead, you will follow detailed Manufacturing Work Instructions (MWI's), technical drawings and strict WH&S protocols to deliver high quality builds in a process-driven environment. This role will be very hands-on with assembly, integration and testing of complex mechanical and electrical systems and is a critical position in a collaborative, multi-disciplined team where precision, safety and attention to detail are essential to success. WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes: Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Automotive, Electrical / Electronics, Armament, or a related field; Previous experience in mechanical and/or electrical assembly within a manufacturing or Defence environment; Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and MWI's; Proven capability to work within TAKT timeframes and meet production targets; Familiarity with QTI's and experience in completing and documenting quality checks; Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating across trades; High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality, precision work; Proficiency with hand and power tools relevant to mechanical and electrical assembly; Ability to identify and suggest improvements to processes and documentation; Previous Defence or heavy industry experience (Highly regarded but not essential); and Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
