Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a UAT Program Manager Tech for a contract position in Redmond, WA. The opportunity will be six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

As a Program Manager, you will lead user acceptance testing (UAT) for supply chain software solutions, primarily focusing on SAP and related tools, ensuring successful onboarding and process validation.

• Key Projects: Lead UAT for supply chain software solutions.
• Typical Task Breakdown and Operating Rhythm:
  • Guide and execute UAT for software implementations (SAP, Excel tools).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, engineering).
  • Oversee onboarding, process mapping, and wrap-up activities.
  • Engage daily with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.

Pre-UAT Onboarding and Groundwork

• Activities:
  • Onboard to existing structured UAT processes.
  • Lead resource planning and deployment for UAT, collaborating with project teams and test leads to develop UAT approaches and support setup.
  • Partner with the Engineering UAT lead to confirm complementary role boundaries.
  • Become familiar with test cases and the scope of work.
• Deliverables:
  • UAT POR schedule, document resource expectations, and cross-functional alignment for time.
  • Establish a dashboard for use during UAT updates.

Lead User Acceptance Testing for Warehouse Project

• Activities:
  • Develop, document, and manage UAT test plans, test scripts, and report on findings, ensuring adequate test coverage and independent script reviews.
  • Ensure readiness of the test environment and data, coordinating with stakeholders to track UAT requirements and progress.
  • Manage UAT progress tracking, report status and issues to program stakeholders, and coordinate defect resolution and retesting, ensuring user approval of test results.
  • Coordinate UAT with business teams, engineering teams, and suppliers.
  • Create execution plans and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Validate that test scenarios align with business requirements.
• Deliverables:
  • Schedule and progress dashboard updates.
  • Coordinate meetings, close issues, log gaps, and document change requests.
  • Drive defect tracking and clear communications.

UAT Wrap Up

• Activities:
  • Transfer knowledge, deliverables, project records, and other relevant materials.
• Deliverables:
  • Complete all documentation and open actions.
  • Prepare and transfer time-bound deliverables.
  • Provide feedback in the form of a Best Practices and Recommendations summary.

Qualifications:

• Years of Experience Required: 5-7 years (Level 3 expected).
• Degrees or Certifications Required: No specific degree/certification required; experience is prioritised. Agile project management is a plus but not mandatory.
• Best vs. Average: Best candidates have led multiple UATs across different programs and industries; average candidates may have limited or indirect UAT exposure.
• Performance Indicators: Successful delivery of UATs, ability to guide teams through testing, and effective cross-team collaboration.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Minimum 5 years, direct experience leading UATs in software implementations.
• SAP: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience with SAP in operational or testing contexts.
• Excel: Minimum 3-5 years, advanced use for process mapping and reporting.
