We are looking for UX Architect - Remote / Telecommute for our client in San Diego, CA
Job Title: UX Architect - Remote / Telecommute

Job Description:
Pay Range: $75hr - $80hr
Responsibilities:
- Define and evolve UX capability roadmaps, aligning with business goals and client objectives.
- Build frameworks, standards, and playbooks that scale UX practice across teams and projects.
- Assess maturity of UX practices and develop strategies for improvement.
- Manage UX-related programs, initiatives, and portfolios to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
- Oversee planning, resourcing, and execution of multi-team UX initiatives.
- Track progress, manage risks, and report outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them on scaling UX within their organizations.
- Facilitate workshops, assessments, and knowledge-sharing sessions with client teams.
- Act as a bridge between business, product, and design stakeholders to drive alignment.
- Establish governance models for UX design systems, research operations, and design consistency.
- Ensure compliance with accessibility, usability, and brand standards across programs.
- Conduct audits and evaluations of UX workstreams to maintain quality at scale.
- Mentor designers, researchers, and cross-functional team members on best practices.
- Support onboarding and training programs to uplift UX literacy across client organizations.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and design excellence.
- 8+ years of experience in UX, design operations, or related fields, with at least 3 years in management or program leadership roles.
- Strong track record of managing UX capability programs, design portfolios, or cross-functional initiatives.
- Expertise in UX methodologies, design systems, and research operations.
- Proven program management skills with experience in planning, execution, and reporting. Agile, SAFe, or PMP certification is a plus.
- Excellent stakeholder management and consultative communication skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Experience building or scaling UX practices in enterprise or consulting environments.
- Familiarity with design maturity models and capability frameworks.
- Background in DesignOps, CX strategy, or organizational change management.
- Proficiency with collaboration and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, Figma, and Asana.
- Experience advising or coaching client leadership on UX strategy and capability building.
