VP, IT Operations

The right candidate will blend high-level strategic planning with practical leadership, driving innovation while ensuring operational excellence. The role spans teams across both the U.S. and India and involves working with both traditional data center infrastructure and modern Cloud platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the leader of Enterprise Infrastructure, Engineering, and Operations, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping and supporting the organization's core technology functions. It involves close collaboration across departments to ensure stable, scalable, and future-ready technology operations that align with business goals.
• You will be responsible for overseeing the daily execution of IT operations, maintaining the resilience and optimal performance of applications, infrastructure, and systems. This includes implementing and upholding consistent operational standards and processes, as well as leading critical functions such as the operations center, disaster recovery planning, and continuity strategies.
• A key focus of the role will be driving the evolution toward managed services-identifying automation opportunities, exploring scalable outsourcing models, and effectively managing third-party relationships. This involves negotiating vendor agreements, overseeing SLAs, and ensuring external service providers are seamlessly integrated into the broader tech ecosystem without compromising service quality.
• You'll also lead and inspire a skilled technology operations team, fostering professional growth and high performance. In partnership with internal teams and external partners, you'll ensure that IT initiatives are aligned with enterprise needs and contribute to ongoing service and capability enhancements.
• From a strategic perspective, the role calls for continuous improvement of operational workflows through automation, process refinement, and standardization. You will stay informed on emerging technology trends to introduce innovative solutions, and oversee planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support sustainable and efficient IT operations.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience with progressive leadership experience in managing IT operations within complex, large-scale enterprise environments
  
• Deep technical proficiency across cloud platforms (with a strong preference for AWS), virtualization (such as VMware), infrastructure management, automation tools, and system lifecycle oversight
  
• Solid background working with databases, middleware platforms, and operating systems including Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and AIX
  
• Proven success in defining strategic direction for IT functions and guiding teams through periods of transformation
  
• Strong understanding of financial stewardship, including budgeting, forecasting, and aligning IT spend with business goals
  
• Working knowledge of contemporary cloud-native application architectures and supporting technologies
  
• Sharp analytical thinking, with the ability to assess complex challenges and develop effective solutions
  
• Excellent communicator with a collaborative approach, able to influence and engage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
