Job Purpose & Scope

As the VP, Product Manager, you will be responsible for product management of applications in Commercial Lending and Corporate and Institutional Banking. These applications are part of Bank OZK's long-term strategic technology platform and vital to several business verticals. You will join the Product organization with a focus on managing all aspects of the product management life-cycle. In the VP role, you will forge robust partnerships with key stakeholders to understand their goals and objectives and prioritize development activities across various lines of business. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, documenting, planning, and managing solutions and applications that will support the Bank's lending and underwriting capabilities. You will lead as a "player-coach" while demonstrating exceptional customer service, solutioning, planning, and organization skills. You will work independently, yet collaboratively, to achieve results on multiple, concurrent priorities.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the project and development process to achieve buy-in and maintain alignment with business goals and objectives.
  2. Develop business requirements, define functional design, conduct status meetings, and maintain production support.
  3. Develop deep knowledge of lending processes and technology, including insight and understanding of business concepts, tools, and processes of end-to-end commercial lending lifecycle.
  4. Work with QA and Deployment teams to ensure smooth and well-documented releases.
  5. Monitor development processes to ensure engineering teams and products align with the Bank's technology strategy.
  6. Manage product backlog and provide prioritization of work efforts, ensuring consistency with applicable standards.
  7. Demonstrate initiative and identify opportunities to improve applicable processes and relationships throughout the Bank.
  8. Assess emerging and industry transforming technologies through research, prototype, and development activities.
  9. Communicate frequently with senior management to ensure strategic direction and priority alignment.
  10. Collaborate and gain support from cross-functional partners to complete product plans and roadmaps.
  11. Maintain robust change management controls in accordance with regulatory and Bank standards.
  12. Enthusiastically embrace, support, and model the Bank's values and mission.
  13. Ensure compliance with internal/external regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  1. Knowledge and experience of the end-to-end product delivery lifecycle.
  2. Skilled in technical documentation, process flow diagramming, and conceptual solution design.
  3. Ability to communicate and present effectively both verbally and in writing and interact with all levels of employees.
  4. Ability to demonstrate effective organizational and troubleshooting skills.
  5. Ability to multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  6. Ability to manage time and meet deadlines delivering quality work.
  7. Ability to work collaboratively in a continually changing environment.
  8. Ability to form and manage trustful and productive relationships.
  9. Ability to think critically and develop strategy.
  10. Ability to work independently without close supervision.
  11. Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Basic Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree or commensurate work experience, required.
  2. 5+ years of work experience in technical product management, product development, strategic planning, and process management in an agile environment, required.
  3. 3+ years of experience in product roadmap development and execution, required.
  4. Experience in commercial and real estate banking, preferred.
  5. Experience utilizing and managing a Jira environment for product delivery, preferred.
  6. Experience with origination and underwriting platforms such as CreditLens, preferred.
