Description
We are looking for an experienced Vice President of Technology to lead and drive innovation within our organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background to oversee system architecture, software development, and cloud infrastructure. Based in Dallas, Texas, this position offers the opportunity to shape the technological direction of a fast-growing company.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of scalable system architectures to support business growth.
Oversee full-stack software development using TypeScript, Node.js, React/Next.js, and Postgres.
Manage cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Git workflows, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Pulumi.
Ensure adherence to cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards when handling sensitive data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies.
Drive innovation by identifying opportunities for new technologies and tools to enhance operations.
Maintain a balance between big-picture planning and hands-on technical execution.
Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Requirements
Proven leadership experience as a VP, Principal Engineer, or similar role, ideally in consulting, SaaS, or insurance industries.
Extensive expertise in full-stack development with hands-on proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, React/Next.js, and Postgres.
Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies, including AWS, and DevOps tools like Docker and Git.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Pulumi and experience with CI/CD workflows.
Solid understanding of software design principles, system architecture, and scalability.
Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive data securely and navigate compliance requirements.
Exceptional communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
A proactive mindset with the ability to balance strategic thinking and execution.
