We are seeking a visionary and experienced Vice President of Engineering to lead the development, scaling, and market launch of innovative electro-mechanical systems within the renewable energy sector.

This role is ideal for a senior engineering leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and is eager to drive a product from R&D to full-scale manufacturing. The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of managing the end-to-end product lifecycle and will be comfortable operating in both startup and enterprise environments, and building a team underneath them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all engineering functions across R&D, prototyping, systems development, and production readiness.

  • Own the transition of complex products from concept through to contract manufacturing at scale.

  • Recruit, develop, and manage cross-functional engineering teams across mechanical, electrical, and systems disciplines.

  • Define and implement best practices in design control, documentation, and lifecycle management.

  • Partner with executive leadership to ensure alignment of engineering strategies with product and business objectives.

  • Manage project delivery with a focus on milestones, timelines, budget, and quality assurance.

  • Foster a high-performance engineering culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of engineering experience, ideally focused on mechanical systems or electromechanical product development.

  • Demonstrated success in bringing complex, regulated or high-performance products to market, particularly in industries such as robotics, medtech, energy systems, or advanced manufacturing.

  • Proven experience transitioning products to contract or volume manufacturing.

  • Leadership background in both startup and enterprise engineering environments.

  • Track record of building and leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.

  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related technical field (Bachelor's with significant experience may be considered).

Preferred Experience

  • Clean energy, power generation, or hydropower systems experience.

  • Background in hardware/software integration and control systems.

  • Familiarity with modular, scalable design methodologies.

What's on Offer

  • A strategic leadership opportunity in a fast-growing clean energy company.

  • Ability to shape the development and scaling of a transformative technology platform.

  • High-impact role influencing technical, operational, and commercial outcomes.

  • Lucrative salary, benefits, and the opportunity to build and lead a top-tier engineering function.
