Job Details

Technology Services Group Inc seeks a Vice President, Infrastructure Engineer II for its Jersey City, NJ location.

DUTIES: Analyze infrastructure problems to be solved with advanced design. Utilize standard procedures and policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Ensure that all systems/applications/software/hardware are compliant with corporate policy/procedures. Monitor project plans and budgets. Contribute to developing and monitoring the organization's technology architecture and future technology vision. Develop reports in conjunction with the Fellow Architect which demonstrate business opportunities and road map strategies that add business value. Draft proposals on infrastructure architecture needs for M&A activity and supports the creation of executive summaries. Consult and advise application development groups on solution architecture design. Monitor implementation. Recommend solutions based on business and industry best practices. Act as the lead for major incident resolution. Drive strategy to increase automation across the organization. Contribute to the achievement of team objectives. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field, and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation. Eight (8) years of experience must include: Installing and configuring software packages on Linux VMs using Configuration Management tools including Puppet, Ansible and Terraform; Designing and implementing container runtime solutions using orchestration technologies including Nomad, Kubernetes, Mesos and Marathon; Designing, developing, testing, and deploying core microservices using various programming languages including Golang, Java and Python to manage compute capacity across all platforms; Performing scripting and automation using tools including PowerShell, Python, and Ansible for operational efficiency; Utilizing machine learning concepts and their application in predictive maintenance and infrastructure optimization, and virtualization technologies including VMWare and Hyper-V; and Understanding security best practices, vulnerability management, patching, and compliance with financial regulations including PCI DSS, SOC 2, ZTA, and NIST. Technology Services Group Inc assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary/range for this position is expected to be $177,632.50 to $179,000.00/yr per year at the commencement of employment. Base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the Technology Services Group Inc total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
