Role is 80% hybrid/onsite.

Position Overview:
Act as the primary technical expert for back-end API integrations utilizing a stack composed of NodeJS, Kafka, AWS Lambda, and Amazon EKS.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the architectural strategy, development process, and upkeep of robust API integrations with a focus on AWS services, NodeJS, AWS Lambda, Amazon EKS, Kafka, MongoDB, etc., prioritizing secure and cleanly written code.
- Enhance system efficiency via the fine-tuning of Node.js server setups, employing caching methods, and utilizing tools for performance assessment.
- Supervise and facilitate application deployments, including single-page applications and Lambda functions as APIs, across AWS environments using tools like Jenkins, UrbanCode, and Terraform, with an emphasis on automating infrastructure setup and management.
- Administer and optimize CI/CD workflows with Jenkins and UrbanCode to guarantee seamless and automated release cycles.
- Offer technical mentorship to team members, advocating for superior code quality by conducting systematic code reviews and mandating compliance with established coding conventions.
- Develop and sustain unit testing protocols utilizing tools such as Jest, Postman, Mocha, or Chai, to validate code integrity and functionality.
- Conduct a comprehensive analysis and formulation of API Specifications using OpenAPI Specification (OAS)/Swagger, and head the development and configuration tasks, while overseeing the troubleshooting and resolution of complex issues.
- Lead agile-related sessions such as sprint planning, daily huddles, sprint retrospectives, and demos, engaging with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the feature backlog while endorsing a commitment to agile methodologies and continuous enhancement within the team.
- Implement JIRA as a tool for tracking project evolution, task management, and transparency, and for producing and disseminating JIRA reports and statistics to offer insight into team productivity, sprint pace, and overall project standing.
- Collect and present agile metrics to Deloitte and Client leadership, continuously scan for forthcoming risks and interdependencies, and steer the team towards achieving the desired results.

Required Technical Expertise:
Experience with AWS, AWS Lambda, MERN Stack, MongoDB, Kafka, and Typescript. Background in the Insurance sector is an asset.
