Epic Willow Ambulatory Analyst II

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Systems Analyst II specializing in Epic Willow Ambulatory to support and enhance outpatient pharmacy and medication management workflows. In this role, you will work directly with pharmacy teams, ambulatory clinicians, and operational leaders to ensure the EHR supports safe, efficient, and compliant medication use across outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities
Epic Willow Ambulatory / Pharmacy Systems Support
Configure, maintain, and optimize Epic Willow Ambulatory build, including medication records, dispensing workflows, inventory processes, and ambulatory medication order management.
Support cross-application workflows involving EpicCare Ambulatory, ClinDoc, Beacon (as applicable), and other clinical modules.
Troubleshoot issues related to outpatient medication workflows, dispensing systems, drug databases, and interfaces with third-party pharmacy systems.
Clinical Collaboration & Workflow Optimization
Partner with pharmacy leadership, nurses, providers, and ambulatory staff to understand workflow challenges and identify optimization opportunities.
Participate in workflow observations, requirements sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
Translate clinical needs into functional EHR configuration and enhancements following organizational and regulatory standards.
Promote medication safety and system best practices across departments.
System Maintenance, Upgrades & Projects
Participate in Epic upgrades, system testing, validation, and go-lives.
Maintain documentation for build changes, requirements, test plans, and support processes.
Assist in developing and maintaining downtime and disaster recovery procedures.
Support integration between Epic Willow Ambulatory, outpatient dispensing systems, clinical decision support tools, and medication safety applications.
Contribute to enterprise-level projects involving medication workflows or system improvements.
Qualifications:
Required:
Associate's Degree and 4+ years of experience in a healthcare-related field
OR6+ years of relevant healthcare or IT experience
Epic Willow Certification (Required), Willow Ambulatory Preferred
Preferred:
Experience supporting pharmacy workflows, medication management systems, or EHR applications
Understanding of outpatient pharmacy operations, medication safety workflows, and related clinical terminology
