HOW A WINDOWS SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
  • Proactively maintain and develop all Windows infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service
  • Engineer systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs
  • Maintain best practices for managing systems and services across all environments
  • Perform fault-finding, analysis, and logging of information for reporting of performance exceptions
  • Proactively monitor system performance and capacity planning
  • Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, and hot fixes on servers and workstations
  • Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks
  • Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
  • Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar relevant degree
  • Required Experience: 10+ years in Windows Systems Administration
  • Required Technical Skills:
  • Strong background in Microsoft Systems Engineering and providing support to those systems
  • Microsoft operating systems including Windows Server 2016 or later
  • Active Directory (AD), specifically: Health of AD to include, but not limited to, AD Sites and Services/Replication; Group Policy Implementation to include registry changes; Permissions (security and/or file) related to user accounts, OUs and shares; DNS, DHCP; LDAP integration with non-Microsoft based applications
  • Experience maintaining and managing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), specifically: Software package creation and distribution; Imaging Windows workstations and servers (virtual and physical); Patch management; Integration of Windows Defender with MECM
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization Windows workstations/servers hosted within VMware
  • Current experience in the Sponsor's classified and unclassified distributed work environment architectures and systems
  • Management of stand-alone Microsoft Certificate Authority
  • Immediate response may be required to restore or maintain system functionality (Tier 3 troubleshooting)
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
  • Security Clearance Level: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Advantageous Certifications: MCSE
  • Other Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of and experience with security best practices and technologies, including patch management, hardening of Windows systems
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripts to run/edit
  • Knowledge of customer enterprise services and customer specific compliance requirements
  • Management of MFA implementations
  • In-depth knowledge of VMWare and ESXi
  • Previous experience with storage devices including NetApp
  • Demonstrated capacity to understand and communicate technical ideas, concepts, and thoughts across multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience scripting system administration tasks in PowerShell
  • Familiarity with MSFT ADSI edit
  • Linux LDAP integration with AD
  • Splunk
