Job Details

As a Wireless Engineer you will be working with a variety of technology tools and systems to implement and maintain WAN/LAN systems.  This role is part of a team that improves the customer’s large-scale IT environment with SLRs/SLAs for high availability and uptime. The Wireless Engineer manages, maintains, plans, schedules, integrates, and troubleshoots the overall network and its devices—WANs, LANs, WLANs, VPNs, VoIP, etc.—and monitors network health. The Wireless Engineer will handle WAP installation planning, upgrades, and testing.  This position is fully onsite reporting to our client's downtown Chicago, IL location.

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a Wireless Network Engineering role
  • Experience with Wireless tools is required
  • Hands-on experience configuring OSPF and BGP routing is required
  • Experience with 9800 wireless LAN controllers, ios-xe and enterprise or carrier-class Cisco routers is required
  • Configuration and administration experience with Meraki equipment is preferred
  • Experience with Catalyst center is preferred
  • The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude

Compensation Range: $55 - $60 per hour
