Job Position: Wireless Modem HW Support Engineer

Job Location: San Diego, CA (Onsite)

Job Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Digital hardware engineer in the lab, in order to drive the innovations in Samsung s modem solutions.
• Work closely with RF HW engineer in the lab, to develop the Modem RF HW platform.
• Will operate Test equipment automatically and sometimes manually.
• Will do the verified results documentation.
• Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality testing activities with management.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

• Work with Platform HW engineer in the lab.
• Some knowledge with wireless test equipment (e.g., 3GPP call boxes, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, Oscilloscope) in the lab.
• Some programming skill to maintain automatic lab measurement.
• Some experience with Digital measurement methods like Oscilloscope.
• Hand-on electric HW modification experience like soldering wire.
• Knowledge and experience of embedded systems, hardware abstraction layer and system software are preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and presentation skills.
• Good to sound knowledge of scripting languages like Python.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Monitor debugging process results.
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering is a must, Masters Degree is preferred.
• Motivation and desire to accomplish hardware test quality/accuracy.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases preferred.

Xoriant reasonably expects the pay rate for this position to be within the following range: $40.00/hour - $50.00/hour.
