We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Workday Analyst to join our People Technology team. This role will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Workday's Time Tracking, Absence Management (Time Off and Leave of Absence), and Benefits modules. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of these modules, ensuring they meet the company's business requirements and compliance needs. You will collaborate closely with the People team, Payroll, and business leaders to provide system support, troubleshoot issues, and drive process improvements.


<>Key Responsibilities</>
  • System Configuration and Maintenance:
    • Configure, test, and maintain Workday Time Tracking, Absence (Time Off and Leave), and Benefits modules to align with business processes and policies.
    • Manage the setup and maintenance of time entry rules, accrual profiles, leave of absence plans, and benefit plan configurations.
    • Support the annual Benefits Open Enrollment process, including plan configuration, testing, and post-enrollment audits.
    • Implement and test system updates and enhancements released by Workday, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • User Support and Troubleshooting:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for end-user and stakeholder inquiries and issues related to the Time, Absence, and Benefits modules.
    • Investigate and resolve complex system issues, including time calculation errors, accrual discrepancies, leave balance inaccuracies, and benefits eligibility problems.
    • Partner with the Payroll team to ensure accurate data flow and resolve any discrepancies between time/absence entries and payroll processing.
  • Process Improvement and Projects:
    • Proactively identify opportunities for system and process optimization to enhance efficiency, user experience, and data accuracy.
    • Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders for new system functionalities or enhancements.
    • Develop and execute test plans for system changes, and manage projects from conception through to deployment.
  • Reporting and Compliance:
    • Create and maintain custom reports, calculated fields, and dashboards to provide actionable insights into time tracking, leave trends, and benefits utilization.
    • Conduct regular data audits to ensure data integrity and system compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA).
    • Provide data and support for internal and external audits.
  • Training and Documentation:
    • Develop and maintain user guides, job aids, and training materials for HR staff and end-users.
    • Conduct training sessions to ensure effective adoption and use of Workday functionalities.

<>Required Qualifications</>
  • Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience as a Workday Analyst or HRIS Analyst.
  • Direct experience configuring and supporting at least two of the following Workday modules: Time Tracking, Absence Management, Benefits.
  • Experience with Workday security administration, including configuring role-based security, user-based security, and business process security policies relevant to the HCM, Time, Absence, and Benefits modules.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and processes related to time management, leave administration (FMLA, ADA), and benefits administration.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) for data analysis and validation.

<>Preferred Qualifications</>
  • Workday Pro certification in Time Tracking, Absence, or Benefits.
  • Experience with Workday's reporting tools, including advanced custom report writing and calculated fields.
  • Experience with Workday EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder) for mass data loads.
  • Familiarity with other Workday modules such as HCM Core or Payroll.
  • Experience leading small to medium-sized HRIS projects.
