Protecting your personal information is the first step in preventing and avoiding any misuse or scams.

Best practices for account security

  1. Create a strong password

  • Don’t use the same password you use on other services

  • Change your password regularly. Typical security guidelines recommend between 30 and 180 days.

  • A strong password should be at least 12 characters long, but 14+ is recommended.

  1. Do not share your login information with anyone. Dice will never ask for your password.

Sharing personal information with employers

Never share any personal information such as your social security number or any bank account information until after you are hired. Legitimate companies will not ask you to pay upfront for training, equipment, or job applications.

Be wary of job scams

If you feel that a job posting or a recruiter’s behavior seems suspicious, be sure to report it so that our team can address the matter as soon as possible. Please follow the steps outlined here.
