Install Tech - Contract - Jane Street, NYC- $31.50 - $32.41/hr.
The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's/applicant's qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Install Tech in Jane Street, NYC.
Role Description
Install and basic configuration of desktop hardware, including computers, monitors, keyboards, mice, and other peripherals.
Unbox and assemble desktop kits, ensuring all components are properly connected and functioning.
Install network cables from desks to wall jacks, ensuring proper labeling and organization.
Test and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, diagnosing and resolving basic problems promptly.
Maintain accurate records of installations, including hardware inventory and configuration details.
Adhere to established safety procedures and guidelines while working with equipment and cables.
Skills & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or coursework in computer hardware is a plus.
Proven experience in desktop hardware installation or a related field.
Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS) and basic software applications.
Knowledge of network cabling standards and practices is a plus.
Understanding of basic networking concepts and protocols is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow technical diagrams and instructions.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with end-users and IT teams.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy equipment when necessary.
