Our client is seeking a Software Test Engineer in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to join our team, with a focus on testing and validating software applications for Positive Train Control (PTC) systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in software testing, experience with PTC systems, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. This is an excellent opportunity to work on critical safety-critical systems and contribute to the development of innovative railway solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
"Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software quality and compliance with industry standards and regulations
Test and validate PTC (Positive Train Control) software applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, systems engineering, and project management to identify and resolve software defects
Participate in Agile Scrum teams to ensure timely and high-quality software delivery
Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop test cases for new PTC features
Analyze and troubleshoot software defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, standards, and regulations related to PTC systems"
Skills & Requirements
"+5 years experience in software testing (test plans, test cases creation, test execution, reporting, bug reporting)
+5 years experience in Software release Regression testing
+1 Experience with PTC - (Positive Train Control) software applications
