Summary

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain web applications using NextJS (or React) and Python.
Build, implement, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
Write and complete unit tests using Pytest and Jest to ensure code quality.
Manage PostgreSQL databases and ensure data integrity and security.
Roll out and supervise applications on AWS, having familiarity with RDS, MWAA, ALB, and EC2.
Apply Terraform for infrastructure as code and Docker for containerization.
Deploy CI/CD pipelines with GitActions for streamlined integration and delivery.
Engage with diverse teams in an Agile/Scrum context, making use of Jira and Confluence.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Job Requirements:

Demonstrated expertise with NextJS (or React) and Python.
Experience with unit testing frameworks like Pytest and Jest.
Proficient knowledge of PostgreSQL and database administration.
Practical knowledge of AWS services, such as RDS, MWAA, ALB, and EC2.
Knowledge of Terraform and Docker.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitActions.
Proficiency with version control systems like Git.
Proficient knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed in Toronto, ON, is CAD 115,000 to $120,000, and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good-faith estimate and the amount offered may be higher or lower. GlobalLogic takes many factors into consideration in making an offer, including candidate qualifications, work experience, operational needs, travel and onsite requirements, internal peer equity, prevailing wage, responsibilities, and other market and business considerations.
